Commercial fishing joint venture.

The Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans implemented the Pacific Integrated Commercial Fisheries Initiative to support First Nation participation in sustainable commercial fisheries.

In light of this opportunity the Tla’amin Nation has teamed up the Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations to create the Salish Seas Limited Partnership, to manage the commercial fishing of prawns, halibut and black cod.
